My hair looks dull n dry.Conditioners just help a little.Any other idea...?

Ok first of all maybe you need a a different shampoo and conditioner. Try Bed Head's Self Absorbed. It adds vitamins and shine to your hair. Use the bed head conditioner and leave it in for 3-5 mins before you wash it out. I'd also suggest only washing your hair every other day so it doesnt dry out as often. This is very healthy for your hair so it can retain the necessary oils. Good Luck!

Yes, go get a good haircut and stop washing your hair with shampoo.

When you take a shower in the morning, just get your hair really wet and massage your scalp briskly with your fingertips like you are washing it. Water will dissolve any product you have used. This takes at least as much time as actually washing it and conditioning and rinsing, so it doesn't actually shorten the routine much.

After a couple of days, you will notice that your hair is very manageable, and it does not get smelly. Sometimes I spray a little scented body spray in my hair when it is dry - I like the smell of roses.

Anyhow, it has been a veritable miracle with my hair.

Try lush's Godiva shampoo/conditioner bar.

If your hair is a little dry?

what shampoo or product should you use to make it really silky and soft ??

If your hair is a little dry?

I recently switched from Aveda Brilliant (which was great) to Aveda Damage Remedy (which I absolutely adore). It's a bit pricy, but I noticed a difference after one use. My hair was super-soft and shiny and looked great after I styled it. While Pantene feels great in the shower (it takes out those tangles), it doesn't hold up during styling (my hair still feels dry and frizzy...). I've also heard that it leaves a residue that makes it difficult for dye to "stick".

Soft water (or a water softener) also makes a big difference.

If your hair is a little dry?

Hair Mane N Tail shampoo and conditioner

If your hair is a little dry?

u should use pantene

it's a really good shampoo

or i also recommend garnier frutis

use any of the conditioners or shampoos then it'll be really silky!

hope that helps!

Ok i have long, naturally curly but dyed hair...it is VERY dry and frizzy a bit...what can i do besi

treat it with deep conditions like pantene oil replacement or Loreal elvive hair mask and hot oil like olive oil to tame it and make it soft and glossy. dont cut it. long hair is in now

Ok i have long, naturally curly but dyed hair...it is VERY dry and frizzy a bit...what can i do besides cut it

Shampoo %26amp; condition your hair.

With your hair still really wet, put deep conditioner in it then wrap your hair in a towel and leave it in for 20-25 minutes.

I did that after dying my hair (and it was REALLY dry before) and it wasn't dry anymore..

Ok i have long, naturally curly but dyed hair...it is VERY dry and frizzy a bit...what can i do besides cut it

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

hey me been a guy i dont have much expireance with this. however i know the weather does affect peoples hair but if it only happens after pe i would suggesst its from your hair been moved around alot. it could also be from sweat and the air drying it out alittle while u do sport.

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

Maybe because it's winter.

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

it may have to do with the weather, or just the fact that you're sweating in class and you're losing water, so your hair is also losing moisture. keep hydrated and you should be fine though!

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

kinda, you get hot and sweat nd the heat and sweat make your hair flat

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

do you shower after class?? because if you do your hair will get like that because you don't blow dry it...stay sexy girlfriend!!!

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

Do you wash it afterwards? It might be the weather, however it could also be the pool water and not washing it properly!

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

Yes It Is The Weather And The Hair Product You Us eTo Make Your Hair Stay Cancels Out By The Sweat

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

no its probably from sweat and the type of shampoo might have affect and it might help if you talk to someone in a salon and they can tell you how to manage that problem. of course if you are outside then yes it could very well be the weather but if your inside then it might be just how you treat your hair!

After i get out of p.e. class, my hair gets all flat and dry. Does this have to do with the weather?

Most of it is probably from sweating maybe partially from the winter though. Hope this helped :]

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

I have wavy hair that I occasionally straighten...it's looking dull it' doesn't help that I have highlights either....but I really want to know a product that makes it shiney and feel smooth...any suggestions beauty experts!

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

Be sure to wash your hair once a week with a clarifying shampoo, especially if you use a lot of product to straighten your hair. A creamy leave-in conditioner works better than mousse or gel. I have curly hair and use a leave-in conditioner with a little gel that doesn't have alcohol. My hair feels very soft. What also helps is to do a hot oil treatment once a week or every two weeks.

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

this sounds really dumb but wash it in dishwashing soap. Lemon. And don't use a hair straightner on it or an products for 24 hours and it'll look 10x healthier and shinier

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

try a silicone based shine spray such as got2b

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

The best shampoo and conditioner is Pantene. It always makes my hair feel great! Also, brush your hair when you get out of bed and before you go to sleep. Hope this helps!

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

use a really rich and creamy shampoo and conditioner, and then if that helps none or just a little, salons offer a really awesome gloss that they put in your hair. it doesn't change the color, just makes it really shiny.

I think the best shampoo and conditioner would be Pantene Ice Shine or Herbal Essences. All of their products can be found in places like Walmart and they all work really great!

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

Mix yogurt with any hair oil and appy it for a few hours. Shampoo and condition it. Do it once a week. It will help your hair feel soft and look shiny naturally.

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

I am not sure of your nationality so, if you are African American I like to use Pink Oil Moisturizing products, especially the sheen spray. Also be sure to always use conditioner after washing your hair.

If Caucasian then, my friend uses Pantene Pro-V and her hair is long, dark and silky and always has a shine to it.

I hope this helps you.

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

I use biosilk products. Kind of expensive but worth it.

What can I put in my hair to it's very dry looking?

shea butter

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

shave yo head

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

get your hair trimmed.

just hot oil, it should be in your hair supply ayle

at like walmart or something..

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

just cut the dead ends and use a hot oil treatment

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

Dry ends are caused due to inadequate moisture in hair.

You can try this and see if it works good for you.

1.Apply hot oil and massage every weekend before shampoo.

Apply egg white+olive oil and massage. It totally drives out the dry ends and gives your hair much needed shine and softness.

2.Use leave in moisturiser spary from DOVE. You can spray on your dry ends and comb it off before you go out. It helps to keep your hair nourished all day and prevents from drying out.

3.You can also try using garnier leave in conditioner, it also seals in the needed moisture to your hair.

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

Hi fatima - next time you go to Walmart or a drugstore buy you a plastic cap (or a box of them) Sleep in your favorite conditioner once a week. Preferably on the weekends when you don't have to get up early and wash it out. Also get a good trim. That is the best thing you can do. Your ends are dry because they need moisture. The conditioner will give them that and a good trim will cut off the dead split ends. Good luck!

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

Get it cut,but just the ends, truthfully? It`s the only way. You can spend money on split end menders but the only real way is to cut them, but in future invest in a decent salon brand shampoo %26amp; adopt a good conditioning regime to keep your hair in good condition, this will help to stop those ends from drying out .Good luck

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

well why don't you try washing your hair but when you put conditioner in put loads in the ends of your hair and if that doesn't work why don't you go get your hair cut (try and get smoothing shampoo and con or for dry hair hope this helps ) bye

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

best way is regular trims.

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

Go and get a hair trim and use conditioner, at your age I would use a mild one.

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

I think u should try doing this bcos it has worked for me

1.Apply hot oil and massage every weekend before shampoo.

Apply egg white+olive oil and massage. It totally drives out the dry ends and gives your hair much shine, lustre and softness.

2.Use leave in moisturiser spary from DOVE. You can spray on your dry ends and comb it off before you go out. It helps to keep your hair nourished all day and prevents from drying out.

3.You can also try using garnier leave in conditioner, it also seals in the needed moisture to your hair.

4.You can trim it if u want, its not a must.

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

get it trimmed and have it trimmed often.

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

Get your hair cut reguarly. Many people don't think it is good to have your hair cut because your hair doesn't grow but it is actually the best thing to do because it keeps your hair supr healthy. If you don't get your hair cut then you get split ends and then they snap off, and you hair actually ends up getting shorter!

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

invest in some serum, rub some in your hair when its wet. then add more when its dry if needed be. it will look nice and shiny and will hide the dryness. also get some leave in conditioners they will help repair the hair too. iv heard the new pantene pro v age renewal is good - it can mend up to 2 years worth of damage.

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

get your hair cut, a trim should do and also condition when you wash your hair. This will stop the dry ends and keep your hair looking healthy. your hair is probably lacking mositure and this is a sign you need to get more in it!

I would use this 1 minute wonder moisture by Andrew Colligne (i think that is how you spell the second name) it works really well from the first go!

Hi, how r u tody?is there a way which i can get rid of those dry ends from my hair? i am 12 yrs old?

O.k Im 12 too!If your hair is dry you have been in the sun way to long put your up in a ponytail and lift it up and stick it in a baseball cap or any type of hat Cut At Least 2 and 1/2 inches off the bottom of your hair and use very good conditioner like vive stuff in the pink bottles use the vive shampoo too. Or you can use Suave Shampoo and Conditioner OK like if your hair is Brown use the Brunette if blond use the blonds one they are all very good my hair very soft and i use vive and Suave so i Rec amend those two products .

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

You can blow dry your hair with not on high heat. Drying wet hair while combing on moderate heat will not harm as much as at high setting. Also don't over dry them, just damp dry is enough unless you have curly hair and you need to straighten them every day.

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

hot oil treatment once a week

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

use heat protectant serum before you put any type of heat to your hair. it will shield hair from damage. also, use a deep conditioniner regularly to restore the hair's moisture and keep it from becoming dry and brittle.

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

first of all, unless you have to, washing your hair everyday is really damaging. Second, use a heat protection spray before you blowdry/straighten it. I use Nexxus Heat Protexx.

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

yeahh hot oil it, i do it like maybe twice a week, like monday and thursday.

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

I shower every morning, how do i keep my hair healthy when i blow dry every day?

I think you should try iron flat straightner, its spray that you put in your hair before you blow dry it and after you straighten you hair,it's found at mostly any store, and it's not expensive.

Hope I could help:)

Blow drying hair crisis?

Tips please?

BLOW DRYING FOR DUMMIES- i don't get the hang of of it. my hair is medium length...

Blow drying hair crisis?

its depends how your trying to style it

if you want it straight use a hot hair brush with your hairdryer, tilt your head forward, rotate the hot hair brush through your hair but at the same time follow it through with the hairdryer,

but dont hold the hairdryer too close as you will frizz your hair. have it on a low heat setting,

after this is done run your hair striagtners through your hair for extra shine, but dont over do it with the straightners as this will make your hair look limp and flat, then finish with a bit of hairspray for volume and hold

hope this helps

Blow drying hair crisis?

i have one

Blow drying hair crisis?

thats ok. im 33 and still dont know how to do my hair. i decided it would be easier to just buy wigs and wear them, then i wont have to blowdry it.

Blow drying hair crisis?

Plug in hair dryer

Turn on hair dryer

Point at head

Blow drying hair crisis?

all you really have to do is hold the blow dryer with one hand and your comb with the other and as you brush, make sure you blowdry the places you brush...

or ask your mom to do it for you

Blow drying hair crisis?

get a diffuser for your hair dryer ( a must!) flip your head over and scrunch your hair as you dry moving from one spot to another often!

Blow drying hair crisis?

When blow drying your hair, get one of those attachable combs that go on it.Also, dont over dry your hair or it may become very dry and britle. Then will start to break off.

Blow drying hair crisis?

try using a brush with the wire tips, it calms down the static while drying your hair and it smooths and shines your hair also. I takes a while to get used to using the hair dryer but you will get used to it!!

Blow drying hair crisis?

try Ironing it..its much easier but the best way to blow dry (I have very long hair) is to bend doen and blow dry the bottom part of my head. You need to dry your hair compeletly or it would fuzz again so its better to make sure your hair is dry...

Blow drying hair crisis?

comb out hair upside down, turn blow dryer on, hold about 8-12 inches from back of head, blow dry back and sides to partial dryness, flip hair back over head and finish blow drying using your fingers to move hair. Style as usual.

Blow drying hair crisis?

just dont blow dry ur hair-that simple

Blow drying hair crisis?

Good advice from a59Cinderella! Cheers!

I would like to add the following:

Comb damp hair through, Work a bit of leave-in conditioner and/or styling product through length of your hair Below Ears, Comb through again.

If possible:

After flipping hair back over %26amp; standing upright, Use a clamp (sold for appx. $20) to hold the dryer for you.

You will have both hands to section/roll hair around brush.

Apply small amount of shine product if you'd like.

Smile, Beautiful!

Blow drying hair crisis?

Ok, First wash and condition as usual. Then ring out all the water you can. Use a towel and squeeze your hair. Pick through. Now, Take your mousse or gel and run it through your hair. Comb through. Start with your head upside down and blow dry the roots at the nape of your neck and crown. Flip back up and dry the roots at the forehead, either using a pick to hold up or a large round brush. Dry the middle of your hair next, when hair is 95% dry and ends should be last, drop dryer to low and use large round brush. Use right hand to do left side of head and left hand to do right side of head with the brush. Take brush at root and point dryer DOWN hair shaft. Curl end under with brush and concentrate air on end for count of 10. Good luck.

Which products are really good for helping my hair that is damaged and dry?

I straighten my hair alot. I use a flat-iron and it just damages my hair. I have alot of split ends. Does anyone know which products out on the market are good for helping my hair get back to normal?

Which products are really good for helping my hair that is damaged and dry?

The only way to get your hair back to normal is to stop straightening your hair so much (maybe only on special occasions). Get a good haircut to remove as much of the damage as you can bear, since split ends will progress up the hair shaft and cause more problems otherwise, then get it trimmed regularly, like every three to four months at least. Work with your hair to find a style that requires less attention. Also, unless your hair is oily or it's absolutely necessary to shampoo daily, only shampoo every few days, but condition it with a good light conditioner every time you shower. When you shampoo it, condition it with a good heavier conditioner. Use a good glossing serum, especially on the ends to tame them and to protect them. One with heat protection and UV protection is good. Most importantly, and I know I'm reiterating, stop using heating products on your hair so much. With time, your hair can get back to normal. I recommend Biolage products but there are many good ones out there. No matter what anyone says, Salon products are your best choices when it comes to shampoos and conditioners, especially if you have problem hair. Many come with heat and UV protectors already in them. The glossing serum can be purchased at many drug stores and discount stores and is less expensive than using the salon products. Just make sure the ingredients include dimethicone, trimethicone, and or ingredients that are similar, but not particularly oil and not alcohol.

Which products are really good for helping my hair that is damaged and dry?

You need to give your hair lots of TLC, with shampoos that are designed to restore your hair閳ユ獨 moisture level to its optimum 8%. Along with intense conditioners that will help to repair damaged cuticles, improve porosity, elasticity and general health and appearance of your hair. Avoid hairsprays, mousses and gels that have a high alcohol or butane content.

Those of you with naturally curly, wavy or frizzy hair, those of you who use hot styling tools or who chemically treat your hair, will need to give your hair extra nurturing by supplying it with the necessary nutrition and moisture that it needs. Sun worshippers need to make sure that your hair care products have sunscreen properties to protect your hair from the damaging affects of the UV rays.

Good luck babe xx

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

Any suggestions for a good treatment anything that will help put some moisture in my hair??

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

use Dark and Lovely's Shea butter pomade to steam your hair,if you have access to raw shea butter, that will be just perfect, add to and egg put on hair and wrap in a hot towel for about an hour. rinse out with water, style as desired.

do this every other week.

u will need to melt the shea butter and let it cool down, just so it will be liquid enough to mix with the egg.

good luck

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

olive oil

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

My next doors neighor little girl is African American and has the same problem she use this stuff called Pink lotion and it makes her hair so soft and smell really good. Hope this helps

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

It is especially important to moisturize your hair during the summer seasons because the sun can make your hair even drier!

Organic root stimulator is a brand that has a lot of olive oil hair lotion products you can use. Olive oil based hair products are good for the hair and it also can be found at any local drug store or Walmart.

For more reviews and tips for all women of color you can visit www.palacinka.com.

Good luck!

Another thing I have found a lifesaver is Soft %26amp; Beautiful's Botanicals Oil spray which makes your hair so smooth, manageable and healthy.

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

Use Motions CPR as a deep conditioner or Hair Mayonaisse. Try a limit the use of curling irons, or flat irons, because they will dry your hair out more, try using styles with rollers or something that you won't need to curl you hair every day. For daily moisture, I like the Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil moisturizer.

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

Water is the ultimate moisturizer. However water has the tendency to evaporate. That is why it's important for African Americans to use oils ( olive oil, jojoba oil, Castor oil are some examples) or Shea butter to lock in the moisture. Oil on dry hair doesn't moisturize the hair it only lubricates it.

You can give yourself a deep condition with any conditioner. You can put the conditioner on your just washed hair, put a shower cap over it and sit under the dryer for about 10 minutes. I also like to add olive oil to my conditioner. Try it. You'll feel a difference.

African American has a tendency to be dry anyway because the sebum we produce doesn't always make it's way down to the hair shaft because our hair grows out tightly coiled.

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

Try using Some moustrizing Hair shampoo Creme Of Nature or Tresemme then after you wash put some LA=Long Aid K7 Extra Light Oil Moisturizer It works really well i use to use it but i use something else but this stuff works GOOD!!!

I am African American my hair is so so so dry lately?

wash it and condition it with some really good conditioner. leave the conditioner it your hair for about 40min and put a plastic shower cap on your head so conditioner can get heated up and this should make it soft and not so dry. do this everytime you wash your hair.

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

iv died my hair a lot of times iv been dying it brown for about 4 or 5 months and its completely fried and the color is fading back to blonde (my natural color) any tips?

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

Try changing your shampoo and conditioner to a type made for color treated or permed hair. For about five dollars, you can also buy a fortifying deep conditioner sleek and shine 3 minute masque by garnier fructis (it comes in a little green tub with an orange lid) . Put this on your hair and then put your hair up in a plastic grocery sac for five minutes, then rinse. When heat styling your hair use Matrix Sleek Look smoothing system 3 iron smoother. It will ensure less damage to your hair if you are straightening or curling your hair. Good luck!

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

Use leave in conditioner EVERY day!!! If you shower in the morning, you could use lots of it at night. That way if it is greasey, you can wash it out in the am. The stuff I use is a leave in/split end mender. Its called "Ego Boost" by Tigi. You can find it at Fantastic Sams or the saloon at WalMart. I think its $15, but it lasts for a few months even with extensive use!

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

You can start with water. Buy hair gel. Or get air spray. Now I have the same question.

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

I had the same problem. I try not to shampoo it too often and i've found tigi "dumb blonde" to work pretty welll for conditioning

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

go to a salon and get your hair trimmed then ask them what products would work best on your hair..

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

stop dying your hair or you will go bald. I am losing tons of hir from dying it. so its dry okay use conditioner when you take a shower there is special conditioner for people who have really dry hair. just go to wal mart or where ever to get that. To prevent frizzy hair use a blow dryer after your shower

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

Try an intensive hair conditioner treatment. I have a similar problem to you and I use Pantene repair and protect. Any other conditioners i've used just dont come close.

Regularly get your hair trimmed too to avoid split ends. Try wearing a hat on very sunny days to prevent further fading.

Talk to your hairdresser about gentle dyes that dont bleach your natural hair colour too.

Hope this helps!

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

you can di it the color it was.

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

Read the directions, it says that re-dying color treated hair you should put the color on the roots for a while and then put the rest of the color on the ends for only 5 or 10 minutes. This is because the product is stronger in the beginning and you should put the weaker-- less damaging color on the ends after the strength is oxidized. Now that you have damaged your hair, no color will last. Use semi permanent color until your hair has grown back healthy. I use professional quality permanent color on the ends once or twice MAX. If the hair doesn't hold the color I don't beat it into the hair, I use semi permanent which sometimes lasts just as long. Framesi color and other very expensive colors like that fade very little. Quit putting the full strenght color on the ends or use semi permanent color

How do i get my hair to not be so dry/frizzy and fried?

You need to cut it off and start over. You can never repair it. Then make sure you use a moisterizing shampoo and deep condition once a week. Only dye hair no sooner than every 2 months. First time, whole head, after that, just roots. Use a good brand, don't go cheap. L'Oreal Creme is excellent

How to i take care of my hair it is so dry due to colouring it too much?

1. stop dying it.

2. get your hair cut

3. buy hot oil treatments and put one in your hair every week until your hair gets back to its original color.

*Trust me, I had to do the same thing....and these steps worked wonders for my hair. Good luck hon ; )

How can I get my hair not so frizzy and dry?

I have been highlighting it and every time i do it gets dry and frizzy but nothing works and i dont have the money to go buy an expensive treatment.

How can I get my hair not so frizzy and dry?

What to do...

You need to give your hair lots of TLC, with product that are designed to restore your hair閳ユ獨 moisture level to its optimum 8%. Look for shampoos that contain natural humectants (magnet like properties to attract moisture), that will work together will your natural oils, to restore your hair閳ユ獨 moisture level to its optimum 8%. Treatment conditioners that contain wheat, rice or corn proteins will repair damaged cuticles, improve porosity, elasticity and general health and appearance of your hair.

Those of us with naturally curly, wavy or frizzy hair, or those of us who chemically treat our hair. Will need to give our hair extra nurturing by supplying our hair with the necessary nutrition and moisture that it needs. Chemical treatments (I.e. perms, hair dyes or bleaches.), will deplete the hair of moisture. bringing the hair moisture level own to as low as 2%. When this occurs you will start to notice split ends. If these are not repaired forthwith and the moisture level not restored to 8%, Your split ends will turn to breakage. This obviously needs to be avoided at all costs. Those of us who live in hot, sunny or arid climates; need to make sure that our hair care product contain sunscreens to protect our hair from the damaging affects of the UV rays. If not the same thing will happen as to those of use that use chemicals on our hair.

Summary... Our hair needs MOISTURE, MOISTURE, and MOISTURE! Who needs to add moisture more than most? People with naturally curly hair, chemically treated hair or people who live in hot sunny climates.

i put highlights in my hair all the time too. when i wash my hair i part it and put oil on my scalp than wrap it and tie it up and let it air dry use a silk scarf and it will be straight and the oil will make it shine and not be dry.

How can I get my hair not so frizzy and dry?

Gariner Sleek and Shine! It really works. And you have to condition your hair twice as much. Because coloring really dries out the hair. especially if you have a relaxer. Use a cholesterol conditioner with a heating cap or a conditoning cap and towel wrapped around that. I even sleep in the conditoner and rinse it in the morning. Conditioning is one of the key factors in maintaining frizz. U can also try Garnier for curly frizzy hair. It just came out.

How can I get my hair not so frizzy and dry?

My Sheltie is taking Thyroid meds, losing hair and has terribly dry skin. Any home remedies out ther

You may first want to have his/her thyroid level checked. Make sure that you are giving the proper amount. (it can change over time)

The product "Missing Link" is EXCELLENT and will help with the dry skin, and also EFA or Omega Fatty Acid capsules (available at Pharmacy)

Make sure he/she is on a high quality food, too.

Thyroid can be hard to maintain, but with a little time these problems should resolve with supplements.

I hope I have helped.

My Sheltie is taking Thyroid meds, losing hair and has terribly dry skin. Any home remedies out there?

Thank you! I wish the best for you and your Sheltie. Report It

My Sheltie is taking Thyroid meds, losing hair and has terribly dry skin. Any home remedies out there?

those are symptoms of hypothyroid activity so the dogs levels should be checked

My Sheltie is taking Thyroid meds, losing hair and has terribly dry skin. Any home remedies out there?

As the others said, sounds like the Thyroid meds aren't working. It may be a good idea to discuss this with your vet.

In terms of dry skin/coat, there are a number of supplements you can add to his food. Missing Link is a good one, although you can go to the drug store and get Vitamin E and Fish Oil capsules and add these to his food, as well (we use 1 capsule daily). Anything that will add Omega Fatty Acids will help.

Good luck!

Whenever i try to straighten my hair it gets all frizzy and dry! It looks awful how can I make it wo

My friends all straighten their hair and they have tried to do mine but it looks so bad, how do i keep it from getting so frizzy and poofy?

Whenever i try to straighten my hair it gets all frizzy and dry! It looks awful how can I make it work?

1. John Frieda Frizz-Ease in soaking wet hair.

2. Blow dry 2 inch sections straight, with a large round brush.

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

Any extreme conditioner, something like bed head dumb blond, even if you arent blond its made to repair the damage caused by bleaching, also think about putting on a thermal protector before you curl it, and the temperature of the curling iron might be too high, buy a curling iron where you can adjust the temp from something like 1-20 instead of just low med and high, test the curling iron by clamping it on a paper towel, if it leaves any burnt marks, its way to hot.

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

conditioner

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

thermasilk

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

I keep my hair from drying out from my hot iron, I use the Fructis 3 minute conditioner for hair....it's pretty good stuff

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

hair mayonaise..

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

Try a repairing conditioner. Spend some quality money and buy a conditioner from Biolage or Paul Mitchell. Also, use a leave-in conditioner on a daily basis. Good luck to you!

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

put a Leave-in conditioner in your hair at night. It should moisturize it. Now if you have breakage form it being so dry i would go get a trim b/c that is the only thing that will treat split ends.

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

try dove intense moisture shampoo and conditionner or use the new dmagae hair collection thats blue and drak blue

Because i always curl my hair it, it became dry and frizzy. what should i use to condition it?

use paul michells leave in conditioner

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highligh

I got a bad perm I have never messed my hair up before till now, Kinda of scared to do more damage, but I hate the color it is, dont want to cut it off either. help!!

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

go to a salon and have it professionally done. it won't fall off, models have crap like this done to their hair every day- it's their job.

if you do it at home, follow up the highlighting with an oil treatment or leave your hair naturally oily for a day or two. Use a shampoo WITHOUT Sodium Lauryl Sulfates in it. JASON products makes a great shampoo for this.

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

Don't highlight your hair. it can fall out. Since your hair is damaged, you have to treat it until it is strong enough for you to add highlights.

Hope this helps

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

you should go back to the hair place and ask that question not from ppl u dont know ????

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

i wouldn't dye it. it may fall out. i would just keep using conditioner until its not so dry anymore. try the leave-in conditioner, that way it's in your hair all the time.

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

yeah..just dye it and keep up with deep conditioning treatments...ur hair will look less dry in no time..

I once has this friend who fell asleep with her hair dye still in..

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

Stay away from coloring it for awhile. Whenever you get your hair permd, your stylist should tell you that you should not dye your hair for up to 7 months after you have had the perm. You are chemically altering the "make-up" of your hair which is damaging it.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

that's kinda wierd because my sister just had the same thing dne well my auntie justed moved out and then she had a perm and so my sister (we have black and white hair

) wnet and permed her without doing nun of the proceudres but the liquid gresy sutff, so my om began to notice it and noow her her is super dry and you cnt really do any thing to it, so we took her to super clips up the strreet and they gave us this stuff and they mosterized adn cliped a littele bit to help it grow so just go talk to ur cloasest ":BEST" hair place

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

You will probably be able to highlight it soon, but first I would suggest a few weeks of deep conditioning. Don't highlight it until the condition of your hair starts to improve. Don't try to straighten/curl/blowdry your hair, comb it a lot to spread the oils that will naturally bring your hair back to health, and for heaven's sake don't perm it again. Perms always turn out horribly, always.

There are plenty of questions on Yahoo answers where people have already asked about good conditioners, so you might try looking those up.

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

a few strands wouldn't be as damaging...but try to get a better shampoo that carries a lesser ph ... i recommend a ph of no higher than a 7

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

Probably not. Why don't you put a deep conditioner in your hair before hightlighting.

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

Na.. but take some minor steps to insure.

Highlight with the hair UN washed. Dirtier the better!

And before the highlighting operation.. give yourself a natural mayonnaise treatment.

Seriously, sounds sick.. but smear a good amount of mayo into the hair, wrap with plastic for an hour, rinse well. NO shampooing! Then do your highlighting.

All this just insures that you have plenty of natural oils protecting the particles.. since it seems very dry to you.

Also, after the highlighting, you will no doubt shampoo.. make sure you towel dry before conditioning and let it stand for twice the time and MOST important... Don't overdue shampooing for a week or two.. Rinse the hair daily but try to give it a chance to build the natural oils up before you wash them away after being so harsh on the hairs!

Good God.. I sound a bit Gay!

Just had a lot of experience damaging my hair to make myself...cool is all!

And to everyone else.. she permed it SIX months ago! How long do you think she waits.. till she grew a new set of hair?

Stop being so paranoid with your advice! Let her have a little fun! GeeZ! This isn't heart surgery~!

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

your gunna over process it

just wait for it to grow out til you color it or you will damage it more

I got my hair permed about 6mths ago but my hair is still a little dry, will it fall out if highlight it?

i suggest you cut the ends of them so your hair will look less damaged. and use deep conditioning every 2 weeks 2-3 months before dying i suggest using temp hair dye

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

Can you help me? I'm going to dye the bottom layer dark brown and the top layer light brown...But I don't want to put stress on my hair....Do you have any suggestions..?

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

I'm a hairstylist so here is free good advice. You say your going to to do some shadowing. Bottom layers a darker color than the top. Damage is caused by the level of peroxide that is used. Peroxide opens the cuticle so that we can alter the hair. As long as your not going very light you will be doing very little damage with almost any brand you choose. Where I see home colors doing a lot of damage is when powder lighteners (bleach)are used, or when you miss your target color and then color over and over again trying to lighten then darken. You just need to pick the color that you want and have someone else apply it so that it is put on timely and EVEN, That is the big one even is where you want the person applying it to focus their attention. Well good luck if you mess up, go to a salon to fix it. DO NOT KEEP COLORING. Good luck and have fun with it.

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

no, all hair dyes will mess it up, just take care of it afterwards and use good conditioner. if you don't dye it too much it should be fine.

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

Garnier Nutrisse is good but I don't think it lightens as well as stronger dyes if you're looking to lighten. But it is more gentle on your hair due to lower ammonia. If you don't want to lighten your hair then Natural Instincts is non-permanent so it won't damage your hair like permanent dyes.

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

Loreal Creme, onl.y way to go, more expensive but worth it, I've been dyeing my hair for YEARS!!!!

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

The best thing to do is to get it done at a salon. They have products that meet greater standards than the ones in a drug store. Plus they can make sure you hair has a good conditioner. Salon products may be more expensive, but they are worth it.

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

If your hair is lighter than the color you are dying it try to find a product low in amonia and peroxide. Those are the chemicals that lighten and in the process dry out your hair.

I have been told that henna dyes are just as bad, but I have never had a problem with them.

All dyes have something in it to force the color into the hair, and whatever that is will useally strip the moisture out of the hair. Just follow the directions and condition frequently.

What kind of hair dye is the best for your hair...Something that won't dry it out?

Try Henna or Indigo.

There's a huge thread on the subject on http://longhaircommunity.com

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, sh

every since she became a toddler I have tried a lot of different products on her hair (pantene, cream shine, water and baby oil, leave in conditioner creams and sprays. Can anyone that has this type of hair or experience with help me? have you heard of ISO bouncy cream and where can I get it?

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, she's 3yo

Well, girl I know a lot about this hair, because I have it too. My hair is so thick curly, and wavy all at the same time. I love my hair! Email me at memeflower78@yahoo.com and I will send you a list that's a little too lengthy to put on this answer thingy! I tell you though Loreal has a kids line called smoothies. They have one that's for this hair type. What you want to avoid is mineral oils, petroluem, and ammonium laural sulfate soap in shampoos. If you can stay away from these ingredients you'll see a difference in her hair right away. GLYCERIN is this hair types best friend. Email me... I'll give you a whole run down! LOL memeflower78@yahoo.com. Just say hi, and I'll get your address and send you a list OK!

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, she's 3yo

Weekly or Bi-Weekly: Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap shampoo, jojoba hot oil treatment, and then Aveda Elixir leave in cond - a quarter size amount. Occasional ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) rinse.

Daily: Rub in water (or allow shower to wet fro) and then massage jojoba oil or sweet almond oil (which is lighter) scented with sweet orange essential oil. Occasionally I use Sta-Sof-Fro - 2 sprays. Every night I cover my head with a doo-rag cap to keep the oils from rubbing onto my acne prone skin which makes my fro look smooshed in the morning.

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, she's 3yo

I have the same type of hair. I use Nexus Humectess conditioner after washing my hair. In between washing try a product called Bio Silk Silk Therapy. It is really a body lotion. It is a clear liquid that adds shine and moisture to the hair. I live in Pa. and can usually find it in drug stores. It used to only be sold in certain salons. Dry curly hair is the worst. I've been dealing with it all my life.

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, she's 3yo

it mind sound daft but my sister finds mayonnaise great as a conditioner.she puts on her hair and wraps it in a towel and lets it for an hour, she washes it as normal then.give it a go.

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, she's 3yo

I would recommend a deep conditioner once a week. You want one that you can leave in for 10 minutes then wash out. You will notice the difference in 4 weeks. I'm sorry I don't know where you can get ISO bouncy cream. I'd look on the internet.

My daughter has naturally curly, wavy hair, and long, but stays dry all the time, what can I use, she's 3yo

garnier frutics would be great for ur daughters hair as well as aussie products trust me i have the same problem

If you are going to curl your hair, should you wash then blow dry and then curl it? Or do something

I am planning to curl my hair and I want it to look nice. Tips for curling long, way-ish hair please! thanks

If you are going to curl your hair, should you wash then blow dry and then curl it? Or do something else?

I would wash my hair, put in some anti frizz serum, and then let it air dry.

Once it is dry, go at the curling. Section off you hair so you can have better control. The best way to go is use a curling iron that gets REALLY hot (be careful!). haha. And then spray with hairspray generously.

If you are going to curl your hair, should you wash then blow dry and then curl it? Or do something else?

Always make sure that your hair is clean before you curl it. Dirt and heat don't mix. So yes, wash blow dry and then curl your hair.

If you are going to curl your hair, should you wash then blow dry and then curl it? Or do something else?

if you want to curl your hair you wash it then you curl it then blow dry it then leave it on your hair for the night then wake up and take it off and you have your hair curled

If you are going to curl your hair, should you wash then blow dry and then curl it? Or do something else?

If you're curling it in the morning than wash it the night before and let it air dry completely or just slightly blow dry it. If it's at night, wash it and let it air dry as much as you can and then curl once it's dry.

Put mousse in your hair before you curl it and use some hairspray when you're done. =)

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

I have tried Matrix, Fructis, Kerms...not that good! I was wondering if anyone knows if the RedKen Shampoo for colored hair is good? What about Aveda? Which one do you recommend?

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

What you need to do is get a deep conditioning treatment (Redken makes a few good ones) and use it a few times a week until your hair is healthier. Try not to use a lot of heating implements as well.

Having oil-prone hair is kind of a pain. Usually its caused by over-processing (coloring or bleaching) the hair, as well as frequent washing.

Truthfully, washing your hair daily is NOT good for it. The detergents in shampoos work to strip your hair of it's natural oils, which can lead to more fried, damaged hair.

If you really cant go a day without washing your hair, then a good trick to use is baby powder. Sprinkle it on your roots, then blowdry/brush it out. The powder absorbs the oil completely and gives you lots of body as well.

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

Dont even bother shave that sh*t off!!!

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

Aveda is a amazing. It's a little more pricey but definetly worth it. It sounds like I have the same type of hair as you and Aveda's all I use.

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

Redken is a fantastic product, value for money.. its actually a shampoo and conditioner that does what it says it will do.. I recommend AllSoft, its not to heavy on the hair and wont make your roots oily... Its a great product, give it a try. And also do a treatment with AllSoft heavy Cream, this will make your hair super soft and healthy.. Good luck.

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

I would definitely go with Aveda. Their products are a little bit more costly than your average salon products, but it is definitely worth it. I would visit a local spa/salon that sells the Aveda products, and ask for some samples. That way you could try before you buy and see if it works for you. Also, after you wash your hair apply a color safe conditioner to the strands only for moisturization purposes. Good Luck!

Help! I have highlighted hair, oily roots but very dry strands...I am looking for a decent shampoo?

I have the same type of hair. I use pureology ( i beleive only sold in salons). It's the conditioning shampoo and the hydrating conditioner. Expensive but worth it!

I've tried all the shampoos that you listed but didn't like the results. Good luck!

I have naturally curly hair which can be dry any good products out there?

i too have naturally curly hair, it is also quite fine so looks dry .

I don't use and refuse to use products for curly hair, i use inexpensive shampoo and conditioner and then just before i dry it/ or allow it to dry naturally i spray it with my homemade leave in conditioner. It is made from a spray bottle with about three centimetres of the conditioner and then filled with water, shake every time you use it.Spray over wet hair and brush through and leave to dry naturally or style as you normally would.

I have naturally curly hair which can be dry any good products out there?

Redken do a range especially for curly hair called "Fresh Curls" I also love Redken "Addictive Hair Moisturiser" It is very light weight and lasts through eight shampoos. Available from good salons (whatever that means)

I have naturally curly hair which can be dry any good products out there?

Botanics deep conditioning hair mask leave in for five minutes and wash out is good and only five pounds for a big pot from boots.

I have naturally curly hair which can be dry any good products out there?

We have an excellent range by Kerastase its called elasto curl. Having curly hair myself i know how difficult it can be. This helps moisturise the curl without weighing it down. Also make it a more even curl all over curly hair has a bad reputation for being uneven.

For African American hair-----Is it better to apply hair oils when the hair is Wet or Dry?

wet, my sister used to have that kind of hair and when you put it on dry, and wait about an hour or so, your hair will start to smell like oils and sweat. But for wet hair, you will have very nice and shiny hair.

For African American hair-----Is it better to apply hair oils when the hair is Wet or Dry?

When mine was long, I alway applied oils (Murrays) when it was wet to keep the moisture.

For African American hair-----Is it better to apply hair oils when the hair is Wet or Dry?

I haved used jojoba oil on my hair for a few years now. This oil is so good that I can use it all over my body.(except face)

I use just a little on my hair wet or dry. My hair is not drying up and falling out anymore. I love this oil so much. This oil is a little bit expensive but it is worth it. I buy it at a GNC store or at an organic store in my area.

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

and also, how to make my hair in place and not flying away? is it advisable that you should shampoo your hair one day and then the other day you'll not..(alternate)

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

every other day on shampooing, and get a polishing spray for fly aways.

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

If u want soft, but not dry hair, use conditioners after shampooing your hair.To make you hair in place, put gel on it,or wear clips,or hairbands. You should shampoo your hair everyday...

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

First, use a shampoo that is closest to your hair type e.g. greasy or dry. Put it all over your head and massage into head with fingertips. Make sure you rinse your hair properly.

Then use the conditioner that is the same brand as the shampoo and also the closest to your hair type. DO NOT PUT CONDITIONER ON ROOTS! This Makes It Greasy.

Put the conditioner at the ends and leave for 2 minutes and then rinse properly.

Towel Dry your hair to get the moisture out and then brush with a comb. Try not to use the hair dryer to much, you could sometimes let it dry naturally because when you use the hair dryer it can burn it. When using the hairdryer, make sure you have separated you hair (top layer middle layer bottom layer) and dry on a cool heat.

When your hair is totally dry, use straighteners to finish the look. Again, separate your hair to straighten it (top layer, middle layer, bottom layer) Start at the bottom layer and work your way up. Brush back into your normal shedding/parting and then spray some hairspray onto the brush and brush through whole head. Make sure each piece of hair has some hairspray as this will keep it straight all day.

If you can avoid washing your hair everyday, try washing it every second day but have a body shower everyday.

Love Tink :-)

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

Soft? Put water in a container together with shampoo. mix them together.Put it on your hair and rinse, don't forget the conditioner.Fly Away? Blow-dry. in a way that you are facing the floor and your hair is falling down and brush and blow dry it going in(towards your face).

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

i use to shampoo my hair everyday and yea it did get really dry.. bc the shampoo strips your hair of ur natural oils. so wash it every other day..i put 2 tablespoons of olive oil (extra virgin) on my hair for 30 minutes, then wash it out with pantene pro v shampoo and use conditioner =] it makes your hair shinier and softer ^_^

In what ways can my hair be soft and not dry?

Beat an egg in a cup of milk. When it foams, rub it into the scalp.Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water.Carry out this routine twice a week for excellent results for dry damaged hair. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I recently straightened my hair&its too straight!&dry.what can I do?

I suffer from exactly the same problem, and what I do is I apply hair serum on my hair while it's wet, wait for it to dry a little bit, then apply a tiny bit of mousse (extra hold) on the ends before I style it.

I would also suggest going to your salon for a hot oil treatment from time to time, and getting an excellent conditioner for treated hair.

Hope that helps!

Im growing my hair, the back is really dry and feels like straw especially touching my neck.?

The rest of my hair has weight to it and seems to be fine. I don't know what to do, it almost feels like straw. What can I do? Can it be fixed???

Im growing my hair, the back is really dry and feels like straw especially touching my neck.?

yes it can be fixed with time and care

eat lots of nuts, use a lot of olive oil in your diet, and garlic

Im growing my hair, the back is really dry and feels like straw especially touching my neck.?

Sometimes dry, brittle patches in your hair appear when you aren't getting a good balanced diet. My friend starved herself and that happened to her hair. Eat lots of veggies and foods with vitamins and protein. Fish oil is also great for your hair (when you EAT it, not putting it on your hair, ew). You can also take a vitamin supplement that is good for your hair. You can find a vitamin supplement for your hair at a regular drugstore.

Also, you can use a conditioner/hot oil treatment on your hair, or a hair mask. If this doesn't help, talk to the person who cuts your hair. I hope this helps.

Im growing my hair, the back is really dry and feels like straw especially touching my neck.?

If you can afford it try Tenegra repair treatment at your hairdressing salon.

Im growing my hair, the back is really dry and feels like straw especially touching my neck.?

I think it depends on your age.....which you didn't mention. I used to have long beautiful hair...past my butt....but today I like to keep it short because mine just gets frizzy and yucky. It won't curl or fix right either with the "little" (LOL) bit of grey I have coming in either. That's why little old ladies always get perms....you can't do anything with old hair. Or you have to color your hair to make it better. Just a thought.

Im growing my hair, the back is really dry and feels like straw especially touching my neck.?

When it comes to having beautiful, full hair my best answer would be henna. Make sure you don't use lemon or lime juice in your recipe when you make the henna as they can cause your hair to break if it's already weak. Rain water is usually acidic enough to get a nice colour out of the henna as well and won't harm your hair further. Try using the henna as often as you can it should thicken your hair and keep it healthy. If you don't want the red of the henna you may want to look for "neutral" or "colourless" henna. It will do as nice a job for your hair but without the colour. With the neutral henna you just have to mix it with tap water, this should be used as often as possible. If there are any skin problems on your scalp the henna or neutral henna will both help fight it. The last idea I have would be to take coconut oil and massage your head with it every night. Make sure when you're washing out the oil you're using a gentle shampoo, even better a henna shampoo. I wish you luck.

I have curly hair and it gets very dry when i flat iron it what can i use to get some moisture?

try hair serum. I have really dry hair that frizzes like crazy if i do not use hair serum. It makes your hair look real smooth and practically naturally straight looking. I use pure shine polishing serum with silk protection when I straighten my hair. If you choose a hair serum, make sure it's Alcohol free as the alcohol will dry your hair out more....

I have chin length hair and I blow dry it every day and put my sides up but I want something else to

There are various options for this length hair. Have the inner layers cut slightly shorter for a traditional curled-under bob style; or flick the ends out as an alternative; or spiral curl it to shorten the length and add volume.

You could pull the bulk of your hair back, as you do now, but curl the front to frame your face and add interest.

try adding some mousse or curl it

Really dry, coarse, frizzy, and thick hair any good shampoo and conditioners?

The Brilliant line by Aveda is definitely the best, but expensive and inconvenient to buy. It's only available in Aveda concept salons.

Something almost as good is the Sleek %26amp; Shine shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner from Garnier Fructise. It has an amazing ability to make even coarse hair feel silky and yummy.

Really dry, coarse, frizzy, and thick hair any good shampoo and conditioners?

well start by using redkin shampoo and lather it well in ur hair and while in the shower comb it all out even if it takes long (use with conditioner too) then when ur done take a mousse that is curl protection type and crunch it throughout the roots and bottom of ur hair....make sure ur hair is damp but not wet or dry when u do this part. it really works....good luck!

Is Chi 44 Iron Guard Spray supposed to be used on wet/towel dried hair or after blow drying?

I am just wondering if the spray is supposed to be used on wet hair or dry hair. Obviously before straightening, but when in the process? Before blowdrying? Or After Blowdrying?

Is Chi 44 Iron Guard Spray supposed to be used on wet/towel dried hair or after blow drying?

if the label does not say i think u should probobly use it when u'r hair is still a bit wet : )

Is Chi 44 Iron Guard Spray supposed to be used on wet/towel dried hair or after blow drying?

What does the label say?

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to

feed him a meat based diet with no corn, wheat or soy. that should fix it, otherwise, get a product called theracoat. it works miracles, and use an oatmeal shampoo.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

go to the pet store and get oatmeal shampoo

it really helps to hydrate their skin... their also might be some shampoo with aloe... those work well too... i would talk to a groomer or a vet while your there... it might be a health issue... bring your dog along

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

they make some dogfoods with fish oil in it and that will help the dogs coat get a little more oily

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

If the hair is not bald in spots, then it could be normal shedding. If you see thin patches, he could have any number of skin problems. Simple dry skin can be from a lack of fatty acids in the diet...Omega 3 and Omega fatty acids that are found in fish oil capsules. These can be bought over the counter under names like Derm Caps or 3V Caps. Ask your vet to rule out any underlying condition.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

home remedy, 2 strips of Bacon fried crisp and give with the grease its fried in once a week or a product off the shelf linacoat or similar, some say veg oil a couple tablespoons on food daily will do it , but none of this will work if your dog has mange, has a vet check the dog out

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

Most dog foods aren't formulated for dogs who live in very dry climates. If that's your case, add about one tablespoon of fat (any kind, vegetable or animal) to your dog's daily ration. That's for a medium-size dog. Use more or less depending on the dog's size.

But if the hair is actually falling out, there is a good chance that there is an underlying condition, such as a fungus, that will not go away unless treated. See your vet.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

There are alot of reasons for dry skin %26amp; hair loss. Is it the weather, diet, not been bathed in a while, or thyroid problems just to name of few. If he were mine, I would bathe him in an oatmeal based shampoo or one with tea tree oil (I use Australian by Top Performance). If that doesn't help, you should probably have the vet check him out so you can rule out health problems.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

Gunter_t. . . is 110% correct.

Bathing too often will also cause the dog to have dry skin. . . .it is not good to bath dogs as often as owners do.

Bacon grease also makes a coat shiny.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

Check to make sure you are feeding a quality dog food.. Bad dog foods tend to cause alot of skin problems.

Forget Iams, Beneful, All Purina, Eukanuba, Kibbles n Bits, Ol Roy, Pedigree, Science Diet etc.. They are all garbage foods that are preserved with cancer causing BHA/BHT or ethoxyquin, or cancer causing dyes, or use a Synthetic Vitamin K which makes the body not be able to normally use K from other sources. Horrible foods..

Add some Omega 3 daily.. It's going to help with a dry skin problem as well..

The falling out of the fur.. I don't know.. It might be food related, allergies etc.. If there are no other health problems, eating okay etc.. And change in diet doesn't help, then I would see the vet.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

Red mange, they are born with it. My boxer had the same issue and once I started the skin treatments his hair grew back and his skin healed. The vet can do a simple skin test, and the treatments are simple and its not costly. Good luck!

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

I would consider adding some fish oil to his food (buy it at the pet store). However it is highly likely that he is prone to allergies and or experiencing a bad bout of demodex which should be diagnosed and treated by your vet asap.

I have a dog(boxer). he seems to have very dry skin that his hair is falling out. What can i use to help him?

I'd check with the vet to make sure it is not hot spots or flea allergies or mange.

Once those were ruled out:

Infrequent baths...these can actually dry out the coat; also never use human shampoo (wrong pH)

Quality food with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (Canidae or Wellness)

A tsp of olive oil on his kibble in the evening

Trying to grow my hair out its so dry, and [growing to slow] any suggestions?

heheh i have the same problem

well first of all you should get your hair trimmed and if posible get it thinned out. trust me, i did that this weekend and my hair is less dryer and more healthier looking. plus the more you trim it the longer it will grow.

and as for the hair growing you should try a shampoo to make your hair grow. try garnier fructis long and strong, it makes your hair grow fast and try that with a conditioner like aussie mend and cleanse that makes your hair softer and your tips look healthier. just make sure to rinse out with really cold water and leave some conditioner on after you rinse.

hope this helps :D

Trying to grow my hair out its so dry, and [growing to slow] any suggestions?

you still need to get trims even when you are growing your hair out.

try these shampoos and conditioners:

MOP Glisten shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

Phyto..they make excellent products for dry hair.\

sephora carries phyto.

ulta carries MOP.

Trying to grow my hair out its so dry, and [growing to slow] any suggestions?

use a conditioner and take a multi-vitamin with lots of the B complex

Trying to grow my hair out its so dry, and [growing to slow] any suggestions?

Get a supplement called SILICA. It is exactly what your hair (and fingernails) thrive on to grow. Get some shampoo suited to your hair type (dry). It will contain the right Ph balance for your hair and make it feel better. I recommend Dove for dry hair. My daughter has long, dry and coarse hair and the Dove was wonderful for her. She also uses Herbal Essences and likes that too.

Trying to grow my hair out its so dry, and [growing to slow] any suggestions?

Absolutely have it trimmed every so often. My hair stops growing (at least quickly) at points and then once I trim it, it grows quickly again.

Trying to grow my hair out its so dry, and [growing to slow] any suggestions?

emon Jucie does not make you hair lighter i doesn't do much but mak eis less greasy once you wash it. Don't worry I did the exact same thing, but here is what you can do. I read in a magazine the you can spray chaminolle tea in your hair. Frst mix it in with some water and heat in the microwave for 20 seconds. Then let it cool because you don't want it to go on you scapl hot. (I do not want you to get burnt) Then put it in a spray bottle or just poor it on ur hair. Sit in the sun for about 20 minutes a little more if your hair is thicker.. And then rinse it out. You hair should be lighter withen a day and if you have any natural highlights it works REALLY well. Hope this helps sorry the lemon juice didn't work! -A
