With your hair still really wet, put deep conditioner in it then wrap your hair in a towel and leave it in for 20-25 minutes.

I did that after dying my hair (and it was REALLY dry before) and it wasn't dry anymore..

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Every girl should know this: DO NOT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR WHEN WET, unless you want to look like a poodle! It will take you forever to repair it! It really fries your hair, ESPECIALLY the ends! If you want to make SUPER straight, I would suggest getting some products at the store that HELPS make your hair straight. Put it in your hair while it wet and blow dry it straight, then when its dry, you would flat iron it. But that is only if you want it super straight. Hope that helps. Also, they have this knew hair straightener, it's called Wet2Set and it is very cheap, like 20-25 dollars I believe, hope that also helps!

Since you wash your hair everyday (I do too) choose a gentle shampoo. Focus on the scalp when you're shampooing and rinse it out well. Use conditioner only on the dry parts of your hair, and avoid using it near your scalp.

Sounds like you over cooked it a little! Only cure for that is hair cut!!!! Those chemicals fry your hair, once its so dead, you can hang it up. Get it cut, and next time don't leave it in so long.

I too have very dry hair. I use Thermasilk. I love it. It's heat activated. You just use hot water when washing and conditioning your hair. And use cool almost cold water after youve rinsed out the conditioner. It helps close the cuticles.I also use the leave in conditioner then blow dry my hair. Now my hair isn't dry or breaking. There really isn't much you can do, although a steam hair treatment at a salon will help , they use a treatment pack and then put your hair under a steamer for 30 minutes, it makes it much softer, the hair thats gonna break will break anyway though but the treatment will make it look better.

you can buy yourself a ceramic iron for your hair, or get one of those hair treatments that last 1 month, they put a wax product on your hair that leaves it silky, shiny and flat. it's quite expensive but it works. (I don't know if you have it where you live, here in Argentina is available almost everywhere but it's expensive)

Get a flat iron, and a hair blower. Also, get sexy straight hair by hair sexy concepts. You could save thousands of dollars if you had just these, if you went every week still you could of spend thousands, uh oh.

Try a repairing conditioner. Spend some quality money and buy a conditioner from Biolage or Paul Mitchell. Also, use a leave-in conditioner on a daily basis. Good luck to you!

Try to find a salon professional who is excellent at doing hair like yours. They will know how to trim and shape your hair, plus reduce bulk. They will also have products suitable. Some great ones are the straight gels which will control frizz but wont by themselves make hair straight. Also products designed to separate the curls and let them lay closer to your head. Redken has a great line of Products for curly hair. Last resort might be to get a chemical relaxer to give you some control over the volume and curl. You dont need to get it straight with this product, just reduce the curl. This is called a perm and will last many months. I recommend a product that is a "thio" relaxer as opposed to a "lye" relaxer which is very strong. I hope this helps. There are great curly hair experts out there, you just have to check around.

Use some sort of straightening serum which you can get at most hair salons. And buy a good straightener, such as a Chi or GHD. They're expensive but WELL worth it.

As for styling your hair, I'd need a picture to really know. But just make sure you part it on the side; middle parts are never very flattering.

Forget the products at your local supermarket, they contain alcohol. Try redken, the cat treatment is awesome. I know they are expensive, but if you only use the size of a quarter, it will last. Concentrate on scrubbing your scalp, that where the oils are. The shampoo will wash through the remainder of your hair when you rinse.

Congrats on ditching the blowfryer! I suggest putting a couple drops of oil on your ends. Common ones are jojoba, coconut, or extra virgin olive oil. It also seems to help if you apply it to damp hair.

you need some serious hydration...first of all do not try to color right now your hair is very stressed right now....if at all possible to to hair salon and get as much as you can stand cut off..it will make it look better right away getting all that dry off..then get a deep conditioning treatment from your hair dresser..she will also give you tips for at home hydrating...like mayo and a hair cap..leave on for a bit then rinse off...unfortunatly there really is not a quick fix for the damage you have done all you can do is damage control and wait for new hair to grow out..every few weeks go get a trim...to keep removing the dead hair from the ends and try during this time not to use heat products like blow dryers and straightners..it will only make it worse..invest in a good leave in conditioner you can put in after you shower then pull hair back into a loose bun or pony tail and wait it out........

A few months ago I had the very same problem. The best thing that you can do is visit the hairdressers where they will reccommend a product for you to use espeically for your hair. Then go back to them and have a strand test, when your hair is healthy enough to have colour put in it, they will dye it a reddy colour for pigment, then put a darker colour on top of that (so it has something to 'cling' onto.)

I cannot stress how important it is to NOT DYE IT YOURSELF. You will just damage your hair more and more. I know it's hard, as you proberly detest the colour of your hair right now, but if you just visit a hair dresser as soon as possible to get a shampoo, contitioner/ hair mask for your hair to get it back into a healthier contition it will be better in the end, trust me %26gt; I went through all of this! Now my hair is a lovley light brown with A FEW golden highlights, and it is in good contition.

I wash my hair everyday and straighten or curl it with irons. I have the same problem, but what I do is as soon as I get into the shower, I wash my hair. Then, I put a LOT of conditioner, massage into hair and put my hair into a tight bun so that the conditioner can be soaked up in the hot shower while I"m doing other things ( like shaving or whatever). Before i come out of the shower, I rinse my conditioner off and my hair is so soft now.

oh gracious my hair is the same way. make sure that you use a great conditioner every day. dove is really good or treseme. pantene has a great line for curls as well. is you want to straighten your hair make sure you use a chi iron. i don't care what anyone else says, i've tried 3 or 4 cheaper versions and they have just broken my hair and fried it mainly. use the chi oil and keratin mist before you straighten they help sooo much. good luck and remember, humidity is your worst enemy :)

If you don't trim it - the split ends will get worse and then eventually every hair is going to have a split end. You can't repair them. Products will just camouflage the damage temporarily. If you have thick hair- try a small amount of a gel like product with silicone in it. If you have finer hair- try a cream product that doesn't have silicone.

Why can't you cut your hair? To get rid of split ends and the dry frizzies, the only way to do it is to get a trim. You cannot repair split ends. When you condition, make sure that you put the conditioner on the ends only. You don't need it up near your scalp. This will help with future split ends.

I would wash my hair, put in some anti frizz serum, and then let it air dry.

Once it is dry, go at the curling. Section off you hair so you can have better control. The best way to go is use a curling iron that gets REALLY hot (be careful!). haha. And then spray with hairspray generously.

Get a trim.

I would get a trim every other month (like 1 inch). I know it'll take twice as long to grow but atleast you'll have healthy hair. If you leave your damaged hair, then as you grow your hair it'll start breaking off at the end and that doesn't look too good.

To help keep moisture in your hair: after you wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner, wait until it's about 30% dry and then put hair serum in your hair (a little goes a long way). Just put it on from the middle of your hair through to the end.

If you have straight hair now (or will after your reverse perm), you can also use a ceramic hair straightner at the ends of your hair which will make it appear healthier (still put on the hair serum before you straighten).

After you do get the reverse perm, avoid doing anything else to your hair like dying, using hair products like hairspray or gel, for a few months until your hair seems healthier.

if your dyeing your hair,make sure a professional is doing it because, the chemicals in home hair dye is horrible. if you are blow drying and/or straighing or curling your hair, you need a spray protector from the heat that causes frizz. also your blow dryer should have a cold button on so when your done blow drying and/or straighening your hair, you need to blow a bust of cold air on it to let it set. A water based oil lotion moisturizes beautifully, much better than petroleum and mineral oil based moisturizers, all grease does is sit on the scalp and hair and can clog pores. I had a problem with dry scalp, what I do is after I wash my hair I put oil on it, a mixture of Olive oil, Tea Tree oil and Carrot on on my scalp and a hair creme while its still wet. Well, a good product to use is Doo-gro anti-itch growth oil (it's in a small white container with a black top. Doo-grow has sulfur in it that treats this problem. My mom's head used to Flake, but she used this, and it stopped dramatically (an made her hair grow three inches). You must also realize that a lot of oil is just as bad as too little. That is our tried and true recipe for good hair care) When shampooing Massage the scalf, don't scratch the scalp, but make sure that you are thorough!!! I don't really like putting oil right on the scalp, for the same reason you don't put oil on your face--it clogs your pores!! However, if you put it on your hair, your scalp will get condition in the process.

I trick I use is to wash my hair with a dandruff shampoo like Nizoral or Head and Shoulders. Make sure you use a good conditioner, I like Tresume or Dove. Then I lightly oil my scalp with (cooking) Virgin Olive Oil. Its light on your hair so it doesn't weigh it down or give it that greasy look or feel. Also I found that using a dark color rinse (I use black) on your hair helps condition it and gives it a healthy sheen.
