Which products are really good for helping my hair that is damaged and dry?

I straighten my hair alot. I use a flat-iron and it just damages my hair. I have alot of split ends. Does anyone know which products out on the market are good for helping my hair get back to normal?

The only way to get your hair back to normal is to stop straightening your hair so much (maybe only on special occasions). Get a good haircut to remove as much of the damage as you can bear, since split ends will progress up the hair shaft and cause more problems otherwise, then get it trimmed regularly, like every three to four months at least. Work with your hair to find a style that requires less attention. Also, unless your hair is oily or it's absolutely necessary to shampoo daily, only shampoo every few days, but condition it with a good light conditioner every time you shower. When you shampoo it, condition it with a good heavier conditioner. Use a good glossing serum, especially on the ends to tame them and to protect them. One with heat protection and UV protection is good. Most importantly, and I know I'm reiterating, stop using heating products on your hair so much. With time, your hair can get back to normal. I recommend Biolage products but there are many good ones out there. No matter what anyone says, Salon products are your best choices when it comes to shampoos and conditioners, especially if you have problem hair. Many come with heat and UV protectors already in them. The glossing serum can be purchased at many drug stores and discount stores and is less expensive than using the salon products. Just make sure the ingredients include dimethicone, trimethicone, and or ingredients that are similar, but not particularly oil and not alcohol.

I recommend a deep conditioning treatment weekely. Nothing will get rid of split ends unless you cut your hair. But you can use K-Pak by Joico deep conditioning. Or Bioloage should have some good treatments as well.

You need to give your hair lots of TLC, with shampoos that are designed to restore your hair閳ユ獨 moisture level to its optimum 8%. Along with intense conditioners that will help to repair damaged cuticles, improve porosity, elasticity and general health and appearance of your hair. Avoid hairsprays, mousses and gels that have a high alcohol or butane content.

Those of you with naturally curly, wavy or frizzy hair, those of you who use hot styling tools or who chemically treat your hair, will need to give your hair extra nurturing by supplying it with the necessary nutrition and moisture that it needs. Sun worshippers need to make sure that your hair care products have sunscreen properties to protect your hair from the damaging affects of the UV rays.

Good luck babe xx
