I would wash my hair, put in some anti frizz serum, and then let it air dry.

Once it is dry, go at the curling. Section off you hair so you can have better control. The best way to go is use a curling iron that gets REALLY hot (be careful!). haha. And then spray with hairspray generously.

If you're curling it in the morning than wash it the night before and let it air dry completely or just slightly blow dry it. If it's at night, wash it and let it air dry as much as you can and then curl once it's dry.

Put mousse in your hair before you curl it and use some hairspray when you're done. =)

Get a trim.

I would get a trim every other month (like 1 inch). I know it'll take twice as long to grow but atleast you'll have healthy hair. If you leave your damaged hair, then as you grow your hair it'll start breaking off at the end and that doesn't look too good.

To help keep moisture in your hair: after you wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner, wait until it's about 30% dry and then put hair serum in your hair (a little goes a long way). Just put it on from the middle of your hair through to the end.

If you have straight hair now (or will after your reverse perm), you can also use a ceramic hair straightner at the ends of your hair which will make it appear healthier (still put on the hair serum before you straighten).

After you do get the reverse perm, avoid doing anything else to your hair like dying, using hair products like hairspray or gel, for a few months until your hair seems healthier.

if your dyeing your hair,make sure a professional is doing it because, the chemicals in home hair dye is horrible. if you are blow drying and/or straighing or curling your hair, you need a spray protector from the heat that causes frizz. also your blow dryer should have a cold button on so when your done blow drying and/or straighening your hair, you need to blow a bust of cold air on it to let it set. One I prefer is Biologe's Conditioning Balm. You can also get a silkening serum for before and after it's wet, Kenra's silkening gloss or Paul Mitchell's gloss drops work wonders.

A water based oil lotion moisturizes beautifully, much better than petroleum and mineral oil based moisturizers, all grease does is sit on the scalp and hair and can clog pores. I had a problem with dry scalp, what I do is after I wash my hair I put oil on it, a mixture of Olive oil, Tea Tree oil and Carrot on on my scalp and a hair creme while its still wet. And then I put hair lotion in my hair. I spray my hair every night with a liquid leave in conditioner and wear a satin cap.

Well, a good product to use is Doo-gro anti-itch growth oil (it's in a small white container with a black top. Doo-grow has sulfur in it that treats this problem. My mom's head used to Flake, but she used this, and it stopped dramatically (an made her hair grow three inches). You must also realize that a lot of oil is just as bad as too little. Just use a quarter size amount to each quarter section of your hair, by rubbing your hands together, and dispersing it through that section. That is our tried and true recipe for good hair care) When shampooing Massage the scalf, don't scratch the scalp, but make sure that you are thorough!!! I don't really like putting oil right on the scalp, for the same reason you don't put oil on your face--it clogs your pores!! However, if you put it on your hair, your scalp will get condition in the process.

I trick I use is to wash my hair with a dandruff shampoo like Nizoral or Head and Shoulders. Make sure you use a good conditioner, I like Tresume or Dove. Then I lightly oil my scalp with (cooking) Virgin Olive Oil. Its light on your hair so it doesn't weigh it down or give it that greasy look or feel. Also I found that using a dark color rinse (I use black) on your hair helps condition it and gives it a healthy sheen.
