you're suppose to grease your scalp... but i hate to do that because it takes to much time and makes my hair heavy. I use alot of conditoner when washing my hair. Also try using netrogen t-gel.Just make sure you use things that condition your hair and scalp but aren't too heavy because it will leave your hair heavy and dull. Also try Smooth n' shine conditioning gel apply it on or close to the scalp...

A water based oil lotion moisturizes beautifully, much better than petroleum and mineral oil based moisturizers, all grease does is sit on the scalp and hair and can clog pores. I had a problem with dry scalp, what I do is after I wash my hair I put oil on it, a mixture of Olive oil, Tea Tree oil and Carrot on on my scalp and a hair creme while its still wet. And then I put hair lotion in my hair. I spray my hair every night with a liquid leave in conditioner and wear a satin cap.

Well, a good product to use is Doo-gro anti-itch growth oil (it's in a small white container with a black top. Doo-grow has sulfur in it that treats this problem. My mom's head used to Flake, but she used this, and it stopped dramatically (an made her hair grow three inches). You must also realize that a lot of oil is just as bad as too little. Just use a quarter size amount to each quarter section of your hair, by rubbing your hands together, and dispersing it through that section. I also suggest washing your hair very often, like every 3 to 4 days (use nexxus therapee, keraphix, and humectress, then spray with infusium 23 before drying, then dudley's pressing oil cream to straighten hair. That is our tried and true recipe for good hair care) When shampooing Massage the scalf, don't scratch the scalp, but make sure that you are thorough!!! I don't really like putting oil right on the scalp, for the same reason you don't put oil on your face--it clogs your pores!! However, if you put it on your hair, your scalp will get condition in the process.

I trick I use is to wash my hair with a dandruff shampoo like Nizoral or Head and Shoulders. Make sure you use a good conditioner, I like Tresume or Dove. Then I lightly oil my scalp with (cooking) Virgin Olive Oil. Its light on your hair so it doesn't weigh it down or give it that greasy look or feel. Also I found that using a dark color rinse (I use black) on your hair helps condition it and gives it a healthy sheen.

Failing that, since I colour my hair a lot, I love the conditioner that comes in the box with it, (L'Oreal is the best so far). It is by far, the most nourishing conditioner I have ever had in my hair. It's a shame they don't sell it separately.

You can also try hair serums like the ones from Bumble and Bumble (frizz ease or something..) they have silicone in them, which will coat your hair strands and make the split ends "stick" together and look healthy/shiny.

What do you mean "What would you do?" If I were you I would go all out! If your hair isn't dry, roll the window down, if you pick up the kids, then do it. I suggest that you bring make up or whatever you can do that isn't messy while waiting for you kids to get out of school and find you. Bring them home, give them food, tell them to do homework while you prepare for this special night. Good luck...

Basically you get your hair wet, boil like 1/2 cup of oil until its hot enuff that you can handle, massage it into your scalp and ends etc. Leave it on for like 20 minutes and then wash it off in the shower. With shampoo or without, doesnt matter.

make sure you deep-condition at least once a week (v05's hot oil treatment works good)! i have that kinda hair too..and i always straighten it so i definitely deep condition a lot. oh and use anti-frizz serum (especially on your ends) when your hair is damp and you can put a little more in again when its dry.

I was taking medications that made me even sicker.I have lost a lot of vitamins and it truly shows ,my nails,hair and skin feel so brittle! you should include a regime of applying creams and lotions that contain Hyaluronic acid as this holds up to 1000 times its own weight in water leaving the skin feeling moist and smooth. Avoid applying water to the skin as this will only make your skin dryer. avoiding the sun is also something else that will help with dry skin. basically for creams you need to be looking at one that has a low water and high oil content. vitamin a will also help when applied and taken internally.
