yes. dont use it when ur hair is wet!!! if its dry, then ur ok. but i used it all the time when my hair was wet, and it would end up pretty straight, but it became so damaged that i had to have it cut really short ... if u do it once in a while i guess its fine, but dont do it regularly.

No, I have a Wet-To-Dry, and it works well. But, it takes a long time and my hair tends to look flat with it. I prefer to blow-dry and then use a flat-iron.

I dont think it does any more damage than a regular one. I prefer to blow dry then straighten but if your really worried or wanna use extra protection just a conditioner with heat protection in it. Pantene has one and also walmart has an equate version of it.
