My daughter is part AA and Korean. She has very curly hair and the ends are very dry.?

I have tried everything. I heard the Pantene was very bad for the hair. Are there any suggestions? Her hair texture is in between AA and Asian hair. She has lots of hair though!

I'm mixed and the only thing that works for my hair is cream of nature it's A life saver try it if you haven't already. You can find it almost any where I get mine from wal-mart.

My hair is thick and frizzes up also when it is humid outside or even when freshly washed. I would suggest that you wash her hair in the evening so that it is slept on and also Pantene is great. You can get the frizz control one and it will help alot. Also I use the straight iron on my hair to calm it down. Make sure you use a balm or something to coat the hair before using the iron or else it will damage your hair.

Try a hair oil immediately after she gets out of the shower and squeezes all the excess water out of her hair. I recommend Biosilk. Its expensive if you buy it anywhere except JCPenney. You can get a package of oil, shampoo, conditioner and a gel for the price of one bottle of the oil purchased seperately. You won't see results right away--it will take about 4-5 days. Put enough in so that it feels heavy. For the first few days, don't blow dry it. My mom has the EXACT same hair. I suggest getting a water softener, but its expensive. This is the best we could do. Good luck!

She sounds beautiful!! I am Dominican, which has very strong African roots, with Asian ancestors on both sides of my family (a couple generations, to be sure) My hair is very close to African texture. I use Pantene Relaxed and Natural, and I find it works well. But I also use alot of masks and deep conditioners. Don't wash her hair everyday, if you can wait at least week, great. When you do wash her hair, use a deep conditioner and if she old enough, sit her under the dryer(a hood dryer, NOT a blow dryer). You can use a olive oil, egg yolks, alone or mixed with a conditioner. Do not let her hair dry without doing SOMETHING to it, even if it's just big braids., so that they dry with some order and shape. keep her ends trimmed. Use a moistuizing product, like the ones named Olive Oil about every other day. Try to avoid letting her sleep with her hair loose , because the pillow case will pull moisture out of her hair, and break it, unless you use a satin pillowcase. also, it will be more difficult to comb in the morning once it's been matted by sleep sweaty tossing in her sleep.

Use a gentle conditioning product. If it is protein-rich, it should be gentle and nourishing for your hair. A variety of these products is available in most stores.Condition your hair after every shampoo. If your hair and skin are extremely dry, buy a humidifier for your bedroom and always use it in cold weather. It will protect your hair and skin from the drying effects of indoor heat. A natural way - twice a week rub olive or castor oil into your scalp at bedtime. Wear a plastic cap to avoid getting oil on your pillowcase while you sleep. Shampoo it out the next morning...........
