Should Shea Butter be applied when hair is wet or dry? Which is best?

I apply it to my hair both when its wet and dry. but personally dry works best for my hair. it seems to absorb better

wet because it gets absorbed better and when it's dry it just weighs down your hair =)

I had a friend who put cocoa butter on her hair when it was dry to give it more shine. Not sure if she used it on wet hair but I would think that would work as well.

I suggest you apply to freshly washed hair, then use sparingly until next wash to moisturize if you feel you need it. However, for moisturizers a little goes a long way. If you need Shine I suggest buying a sheen spray or a shine spray.
