my advice is to use a home made mixture of equal parts mayo and stale beer(leave open for 24 hours), and 1 half of a cucumber, puree the mix very well and apply to hair leave for 30-45 min no longer, then rinse very well with luke warm water, then shampoo three times right away and use a good conditioner, i suggest biolage conditioning balm, leave for 5 min ,the key at this point is to rinse cond out in cold water,cold as you can handle. this closes the cuticle of the hair over the cond molicules instead of rinsing them out, towel dry and let dry naturally the first nite, (you should always rinse cond in cool/cold water, works the same for the pores on your face, boondocdave (tricologist)cosmetologist

use lemons, it will do good, then get some hair oil, and that will solve your problem, and yes wash your hair after using the lemons on your head.

i use a conditioner by Suave...similar to Paul Mitchell...called Humectress....i put it on my hair while its wet and dont rinse it...it works great. wrap ur head in a towel to let it soak in...ur hair will be soft and very combable....works for me!

why don't you try a toothpaste that is minty. Use Close-Up for example. Put it on your hair and gently massage your scalp. Because it is minty it relaxes your scalp and it refreshes it. I did this when i have a very dull hair. now its straight and easy to comb.

my hair was dull and dry also couldn't do anything with it,so I decided to color my hair.Now it has more life to it and no longer dry.I didn't do a major hair color change I stayed with my own hair color,just kinda got rid of the dark roots,and some greys.I feel better about myself also. You might try going to Sally's or another beauty supply store and asking for a suggestion. It might a little more expensive that you're used to (more like $4-8) per bottle, but chances are it will be a little better quality and you'll get the results you want.

I really like a line they carry called BEYOND THE ZONE. It's usually about $3.99-5.99 per item, but lasts forever because you only need a little bit. I would especially suggest the "Strip Search" shampoo (which removed dulling build-up) and "Busted Extreme Hair Fuel" (which is THE best conditioner I have ever used and will leave your hair so soft and easy to comb.) They can be weird colors (the shampoo I suggested is kelly green and the conditioner is sky blue) but I promise they work.

Hair normally has a moisture content of approximately 10%. If your hair閳ユ獨 moisture content drops below this level the key is to increase the hair閳ユ獨 ability of attract and retain moisture. This is accomplished by using moisturizers. Good one have "humectants" that not only replace lost moisture but actually attract moisture and retain it in the cortex of the hair. Essential fatty aids (EFA閳ユ獨) are great moisturizers. One of the best and most cost effective essential fatty acids is safflower oil. It is the kind you can buy to cook with. It is rich in EFA閳ユ獨. The scalp produces the best EFA閳ユ獨 called sebum. The problems is once the hair grows past the neck line or does not have direct contact with the scalp the scalps natural oils can not be utilized throughout the hair shaft. At this point you can manually replace the lost EFA閳ユ獨 by:

Placing 1 or 2 drops of safflower oil in your palms and rub them together.

There should only be enough to make your hands "shine" in the light.
